“The long winding gravel road to Stony Bay at the north eastern tip of the Coromanel Peninsula is well worth the effort, as it rewards you with this spectacular bay, fringed by ancient Pohutukawa. The teal coloured water is like the glacial waters of the south island, it really needs to be seen to be believed.”
