Peter's World

"The Circle Of Life"

“As I waited for the sun to dip below a heavy bank of cloud, my plan was to capture a wide panorama of the river bank & nikaus. But when the sun re-appeared, a large bluff blocked the sun from reaching that area. Bugger! But I couldn't waste this gorgeous light, so I quickly switched lenses & raced to the water's edge. After shooting a series of Oystercatchers silhouetted with the rocks & waves, I turned my attention to a small rock, that sat just above the surface of the sea. Sensing some magic at play with the light & shapes of each wave, I started shooting continuous waves as they broke over this rock. Until finally, my patience paid off when my finger triggered the shutter at this precise moment, as the wave formed this perfect circle suspended above the sea. Wow! And to have captured this with such clarity & resolution on my Phase One XF makes this a very rare, one in a million shot."
