Peter's World

"Pure Summer"

“Classic summer scene at Otama beach, this looks terrific as a large triptych where the scene splits into beach, pohutukawa & sea. It's difficult to appreciate the detail on this website, but this image is capable of extreme enlargement, the original file measured 4.5 metres wide @ 300DPI! A difficult scene to capture & process as the depth of field with the 210mm lens is minimal (hence f32 & ISO 800), the waves were constantly moving as I shot a total of 21 overlapping frames. Great Barrier island lies top right, under the cloud."

Equipment: 60Mp Phase One DB + Mamiya AFD 645 + 210mm lens

21 frames stitched for extreme detail & clarity

Exposure: 1/80 sec @ f32 ISO 800

Location: Otama, Coromandel Peninsula

“When Peter delivered our pieces, we couldn't believe the incredible detail. The images on his website - impressive as they are - really didn't do our prints justice!“
