"Morning Glory"

“I scoured several beaches the previous day and found these brilliant Pohutukawa branches in full bloom with Rangitoto island behind - perfect! But I knew the flowers wouldn’t last long and the weather forecast was turning for the worse. So the next morning I was up at 5am and captured this scene an hour later.  And as I headed home over the harbour bridge, the clouds were already dominating the sky, so it was well worth getting up early for!”
