"Mackinnon Pass"

“What a phenomenal last day of spring! After fears the track would close due to too much snow the night before and the avalanche risk, we finally got the green light and were able to walk! Such incredible light and drama, we were in a tiny pocket of sunshine and in large prints you can see it was still snowing. One of those very rare experiences that standout as a real highlight, snowballs came in handy to defend my equipment from a pair of troublesome Keas!"
