"Alone In Paradise"

“With a perfect day forecast, I left home at 3am this christmas morning to capture the first light touching the fine sands of New Chum beach. Reached via a thirty minute bush walk from Whangapoua, this jewel in the Coromandel's crown is rated as one of the top beaches in the world, yet its future remains uncertain, with battles against a subdivision still going on. It would be a terrible shame to see it spoilt by development, so I sincerely hope we can protect it!”
